Improvement of the energy method for strongly non resonant dispersive equations and applications

چکیده
In this paper we propose a new approach to prove the local well-posedness of the Cauchy problem associated with strongly non resonant dispersive equations. As an example we obtain unconditional well-posedness of the Cauchy problem below H for a large class of one-dimensional dispersive equations with a dispersion that is greater or equal to the one of the Benjamin-Ono equation. Since this is done without using a gauge transform, this enables us to prove strong convergence results for solutions of viscous versions of these equations towards the purely dispersive solutions.

Meshless Local Petrov-Galerkin Method– Steady, Non-Isothermal Fluid Flow Applications
Abstract : The meshless local Petrov-Galerkin method with unity as the weighting function has been applied to the solution of the Navier-Stokes and energy equations. The Navier-Stokes equations in terms of the stream function and vorticity formulation together with the energy equation are solved for a driven cavity flow for moderate Reynolds numbers using different point distributions. The L2-...

A high-order discontinuous Galerkin time-domain (DGTD) method for Maxwell’s equations for dispersive media of Drude type is derived and then used to study the coupling of 2D silver nanowires, which have potential applications in optical circuits without the restriction of diffraction limits of traditional dielectric waveguides. We have demonstrated the high accuracy of the DGTD for the electrom...
متن کاملFinite difference method for sixth-order derivatives of differential equations in buckling of nanoplates due to coupled surface energy and non-local elasticity theories
In this article, finite difference method (FDM) is used to solve sixth-order derivatives of differential equations in buckling analysis of nanoplates due to coupled surface energy and non-local elasticity theories. The uniform temperature change is used to study thermal effect. The small scale and surface energy effects are added into the governing equations using Eringen’s non-local elasticity...

متن کاملAn Investigation into Resonant Frequency of Triangular V-Shaped Cantilever Piezoelectric Vibration Energy Harvester
Power supply is a bottle-neck problem of wireless micro-sensors, especially where the replacement of batteries is impossible or inconvenient. Now piezoelectric material is being used to harvest vibration energy for self-powered sensors. However, the geometry of a piezoelectric cantilever beam will greatly affect its vibration energy harvesting ability. This paper deduces a remarkably precise an...
